The Surprise

Last Wednesday, we were in class. “Today we have a surprise visitor,” the teacher said. “Who do you think it will be?”

No one knew who the visitor was until…teacher Benny arrived.

We talked about collecting things. We asked questions like “What can we collect?”  or “Why is it cool to have a collection?” Then Teacher Benny showed us his bill collection, which was amazing! There were bills from many different places, like Italy, Spain, France, Dubai…almost from all over the world.
Then I remembered…my paper collection! I have a big paper collection. I really love cutting small pieces of paper and coloring them. I make paper houses with cute animals that live there. I also make puzzles, stickers, and simple drawings. Then I put them away and keep them in my binder. I showed them to Teacher Benny, and we took a photo with our collections; now I can always remember that moment.

It doesn’t matter what you collect: papers, bills, spoons, rocks, stamps…it’s always fun to have a collection!
