For World Ozone Day, our 2nd graders learned about the importance of protecting our planet through a fun and meaningful cross-curricular activity. After watching a video about the ozone layer, students completed a reading activity called “Take Care of Our Planet,” where they learned about different ways we can help take care of Earth.
Working in teams, the students then created colorful World Ozone Day posters sharing their ideas and messages about how we can protect our planet. This activity encouraged them to use their English, reading, creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness skills while thinking about simple actions they can take in their everyday lives.
It was wonderful to see our students working together, sharing ideas, and becoming conscious little environmental ambassadors!
